The Seattle Seahawks are finally ready for the regular season after suffering cuts in the lineup on the weekend of Labor Day. With all the ugly business of reducing the positions in the books, the team finally has its staff of 53 and most of the starting positions are also settled; a selection of some remain to be won. But now, at least we know who is directing these spots. The Seahawks released their official depth chart in week 11 before facing the Green Bay Packers.
The Seahawks have begun rebuilding around quarterback Russell Wilson, which means the rebuilding is never really complete. The Seahawks attempted to cut their defense pay by cutting the salaries of Richard Sherman, Sheldon Richardson, Jeremy Lane, Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril and replacing them with youngsters like Shaquill Griffin, Nazair Jones, Justin Coleman, Rasheem Green and Frank Clark. They also added a veteran or two in the mix with Tom Johnson and Shamar Stephen.

They have in fact added a salary in attack by lengthening left tackle Duane Brown and wide receiver Tyler Lockett and reconfiguring their tight position. Instead of the weapon that captivates Jimmy Graham's passes, he has been replaced by four sturdy blocking ends blocked with reliable hands. Tight ends are once again an extension of the racing game and not a passing effort. With all these changes in mind, let's see who's where, what and when.
Here is a graph of the depth of the Seahawks for week 11 and the following.
