Upset by Starlink's rhythm, SpaceX's Musk would have shaken the management team

Elon Musk is apparently very serious about his goal of launching the first batch of Space X satellites by the middle of next year.

The SpaceX CEO reportedly visited the Seattle area in June for meetings on the company's Starlink program, which aims to bring fast broadband around the world. There, he brutally fired at least seven members of the project management for disagreements over the pace of development and team testing, Reuters said Wednesday. Musk reportedly brought officials from SpaceX headquarters in California to the Redmond office in Washington State.

SpaceX did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

As a member of Starlink Program, SpaceX launched a pair of prototype satellites in February on its Falcon 9 rocket. The two satellite constellations, totaling more than 11,000 devices in orbit, launched the ambitious effort to provide terrestrial quality broadband access worldwide.

However, the program is struggling to retain talent, according to Reuters. About 300 SpaceX employees would work on Starlink in Redmond. Until now, about fifty workers have left the company for obscure reasons.
