Children's hospitals in northeastern Ohio rank each of the top 50 in a handful of pediatric specialties, according to United States News & World ReportThe annual list of "best hospitals for children".

In the rankings from 2018 to 2019, 86 hospitals ranked in the top 50 in at least one specialty.

Cleveland Clinic Children & # 39; s Hospital had 10 total specialties ranked in the top 50; University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children & # 39; s Hospital ranked eight; and Akron Children's Hospital had four.

Specialty Ranking Rainbow Babies and Children & # 39; s Hospital: cancer (22), diabetes and endocrinology (21), gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery (44), neonatology (6), nephrology (43), orthopedics (22), pneumology (20) and urology (24).

Akron Children's Rankings Hospital: Neonatology (44), Neurology and Neurosurgery (44), Orthopedics (44) and Urology (41).

Data collected through a clinical survey sent to nearly 200 hospitals and a reputation survey sent to approximately 11,000 pediatric physicians helped create the 2018-2019 rankings, according to News from the United States.
