US companies hope customers will buy their small local store Saturday "CBS Denver

DENVER (CBS4)– Mindy Jarrard has settled in a flea market outside Union Station, where a huge tree lighting ceremony has invaded the square Friday night. She owns Kady's Kollars, the company that makes dog collars. She also gives some of her profits to dog rescue.

"I started making dog collars for rescues and it's kind of become a business," she told Dominic Garcia of CSB4.

Like many other small business owners, she is putting on a big sales season and wants people to remember to shop on a Saturday of Small Business.

"Coming to these events has been fun. I am always very proud of my work and I think others appreciate it too. "

Many small businesses in the Greater Denver area will be hosting special events to celebrate their Saturday business clients.
