SAN LUIS RÍO COLORADO, Mexico – The United States has reduced the number of migrants allowed to cross the US-Mexico border in order to legally apply for asylum.

Here at the border post located across from Yuma, Arizona, 30 or more families cross each day normally, according to Mexican immigration officials. But in the last two weeks, the US Customs and Border Protection has left one family a day at most, such as migrants and their lawyers.
