GUADALAJARA, Mexico (AP) – The US government has said it is working to "harden" the border between Tijuana, Mexico, to prepare for the arrival of a caravan of migrants crossing western Mexico.
The Customs and Border Protection Service announced Tuesday the closure of four lanes at the busy ports of San Ysidro and Otay Mesa in San Diego, California. He says that he will install new infrastructure "in preparation for the migrant caravan and the potential risk to the security that it could cause."
Thousands of Central American migrants left shelters Tuesday in the western city of Guadalajara for a bus stop at a tollbooth while waiting for their next destination. .
