A new man will put on the hairy suit and entertain Jazz fans during the NBA 's home opening game in Utah on Friday night.

Jon Absey has been playing the Jazz Bear since the mascot's inception in 1994, but he was fired this week and is no longer part of the organization. According to media reports from Utah, who cited a break with the Jazz staff.
