ATHENS, Ga. (AP) – Jake Fromm threw three touchdown passes, including a 75-yarder to Terry Godwin, and No. 2 Georgia beat Vanderbilt.

Georgia (6-0, 4-0 Southeastern Conference) Vanderbilt's Ryle Guay is one of the first two-half fields in the game.

Fromm threw for a season-high 276 yards while sitting out the final quarter. After Vanderbilt took the lead 3-0, Fromm needed only 15 seconds to respond with the long scoring pass to Godwin, who fought off cornerback Joejuan Williams' tackle attempt.

The Bulldogs gained momentum for next week's visit to No. 5 Louisiana State. Georgia then plays Florida, Kentucky and Auburn. The four-game stretch will determine the Bulldogs' hopes of defending their SEC championship and making another run at the national title.

Vanderbilt (3-3, 0-2) trailed only 7-3 after the first period. Kept out of the end zone until the final seconds, the Georgia Domods could not spoil their homecoming as they did with a 17-16 win in 2016.

WHAT'S AT STAKE?

Georgia is trying to gain momentum for next week's game at No. 5 LSU and remain unbeaten. The Bulldogs are looking to retain a SEC SECOND lead and remain in the hunt for their second straight College Football Playoff appearance. Vanderbilt is looking for its first win over a Top 25 team this season.

KEY MATCHUP

Vanderbilt WR Kalija Lipscomb vs. Georgia CB Deandre Baker. Lipscomb has SEC-leading totals of 43 catches for 480 yards and six touchdowns. Lipscomb had a career-high 174 yards on nine catches with two touchdowns in last week's 31-27 win over Tennessee State and has at least nine catches in every game this season. Baker, a senior, is the top cover cornerback on Georgia 's defense which ranks No. 4 in SEC.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Vanderbilt: QB Kyle Shurmur, senior, ranks, touchdowns and completions at Vandy. He is averaging 246.2 yards passing through the game to rank third in the SEC. He has the confidence of leading the way to a stunning 17-16 win at Georgia in 2016 on homecoming.

Georgia: QB Justin Fields played a bigger role in last week's 38-12 win over Tennessee as the freshman saw in each of the final three quarters and ran for 45 yards and two touchdowns. Fields is a dangerous complement to Jake Fromm, whose starting role is not in question.
