Vegas Publishes 14 SEC Week, University Football Lines

Alabama (12-0) has ended one of the most dominant regular seasons in history. The Crimson Tide is the first team since Yale in 1888 to open a season with 12 consecutive wins of at least 20 points.

The reward? A SEC championship game against Georgia (11-1), which almost defeated Alabama at the national championship game earlier this year.

If Alabama wins, it will be the No. 1 seed in the playoffs, with a semifinal likely against Ohio State or Oklahoma. If he loses, well, the committee will have to choose between the tide, Buckeyes and Sooners.

After gaining the benefit of the doubt last year, Alabama might not have enough political capital to sneak in as a non-SEC champion. He certainly does not want to leave things to chance.

Game notes of the week 14

-Alabama was favored by two or more touchdowns against Michigan, Notre Dame and Central Florida in BetOnline's lineups for potential clashes with a national championship earlier this month. Alabama was a 8.5-point favorite over Clemson initially, but that line was leaning towards Alabama -7 before the site abolished it. Based on the Alabama-Georgia line, we can assume that the sports betting market considers Georgia as the third best team in the country right now behind Clemson.

Alabama has never been that an 8-point favorite against Georgia since the creation of the Covers.com database in 1985. There previously existed no exact database. on the lines of paris. Indeed, the lines were often written on blackboards and varied considerably the sports betting Vegas.

-L "money scrambled has already been poured in support of Georgia, which has been ranked outsider by 11 points.

-Ohio State (11-1) is almost a two-touchdown favorite against Northwestern in the Big Ten Championship game. The Buckeyes could lose their match against Maryland and play in Michigan as outsiders before participating in the college football playoffs in a few weeks.

-Oklahoma is a 9-point favorite against a Texas team that beat him earlier this year. I do not trust the Sooners defense and think this line is too high. The match should also be crucial in the Heisman Trophy race, which looks like a two-man fight between Tua Tagovailoa (Alabama) and Kyler Murray (Oklahoma). A defeat of the Sooners and a victory of the tide would probably guarantee the prize in Tagovailoa.

-UAB was a favorite of the United States until the last week of the regular season, when the Middle Tennessee State eliminated the Blazers. In doing so, MTSU obtained the right to host the conference championship match.

-The LSU-Texas A & M seven-hour overtime game was emblematic of the narrow margin separating the huge middle class from the SEC this year. Each week, I evaluate the 130 FBS teams according to the team I would prefer on neutral ground. My National Rankings for the SEC so far: No. 1 Alabama, No. 3 Georgia, No. 11 LSU, No. 13 Missouri, No. 14 Texas A & M, No. 15 State of Mississippi, No. 17 Florida, No. 19 Kentucky, No. 21 Auburn, No. 38 Vanderbilt, No. 42 Ole Miss, No. 61 Tennessee and No. 80 Arkansas.

South Carolina play against Akron to make up for a canceled game against Marshall scheduled for September 15. The weather also canceled the Akron match on September 1 in Nebraska. The game is important for sports betting players who honor the total wins of the season if a team plays 12 full games. South Carolina (6-5) recorded a total of 7 wins for the Vegas season and Akron (4-7) recorded a total of 4.5 wins for the Vegas season.
