Amazon BusinessAmazon Business now has more than $ 10 billion in annualized sales and serves "millions" of commercial customers, the company said Tuesday.

Amazon Business is a B2B Marketplace – Customers buy items for their businesses as opposed to their households.

"Our goal is to improve the ability of suppliers to reach more customers and facilitate customers' purchase of their suppliers. Wholesale suppliers and wholesalers are just as much our customers as the end buyers, "the company said, adding that Amazon has nearly 150,000 vendors offering" hundreds of millions "of products.

Amazon gave part of the credit to third-party sellers for the success of Amazon Business. "Third-party sellers account for more than 50 percent of the $ 10 billion in global sales, allowing customers to find and buy from new suppliers they may not have discovered."

But third-party sellers do not have the choice to participate in Amazon Business, as we announced in May and again last month. As of August 8, registered customers of Amazon Business can purchase from any third-party vendor and use an invoice to pay in lieu of credit card or other immediate payment methods. While Amazon guarantees payment, sellers have to wait longer for disbursements of these orders.

Amazon Business also revealed that in the United States, Amazon Business serves nearly 80% of the 100 largest educational organizations, 55 of the 100 largest companies, more than half of the 100 largest hospital systems and more than 40% of the 100 most populous local businesses. Governments.

He has also contributed to the international expansion for his growth.
