Venom is ready for another box office win this weekend.

Venom should win between $ 30 and $ 32 million during its second weekend at the box office, far exceeding second place A star is born and newcomer First man.

Added to the record-breaking weekend of $ 80 million last weekend and to its week-end earnings, VenomTotal box office revenue will rise to $ 139 million.

Venom Tom Hardy plays Eddie Brock, the journalist who linked to an extraterrestrial symbiote to become the villain of Spider-Man, then an anti-hero called Venom. The origin of Tough Venom is closely related to Spidey in the world of Marvel Comics. Sony is using Venom as a launching pad for its own universe of movies dedicated to Spider-Man characters, such as Morbius, Black Cat, Silver Sable and Nightwatch.

Venom is led by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) and was realized with a budget of 100 million dollars.

Venom has received mostly negative reviews from critics, managing only 32% of Rotten Tomatoes, but fans have been much more positive about the film, giving it an 88% audience score.

Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween also opens this weekend and will land in fourth place. The film sees Jack Black back in the role of Goosebumps author, RL Stine. He is expected to make about $ 16 million in his first weekend.

Bad times at the El Royale, the new film of Hut in the woods director Drew Goddard, will open at about $ 10 million. Goddard is also destined to lead the X-Force film starring Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool and Josh Brolin in Cable, assuming that Disney's current acquisition of 20th Century Fox does not derail these plans.

Goddard was also attached to the direction of the Sony spin-off villain Sinister Six at one point. If the sharing of Spider-Man by Sony with Marvel and the development of Venom seemed to show that the plans had changed, Goddard believes that the film could still be made.
