Vensa Health adds a digital team to 20,000 registered people

Auckland-based health technology company Vensa Health has added two new faces to its 20-person team and a US-based global advisor, with the company reporting 20,000 patients using its new platform mobile health service vensa.com.

Best known for its TXT2Remind SMS service used by general practitioners to deliver health messages and appointment reminders, Vensa has invested millions of dollars in its vensa.com platform, which allows patients to make their appointments you online in real time and order and pay for repeated prescriptions.

The company has appointed Samual Wong, former Senior Clinical Analyst of St John New Zealand, as Vice President of Product Innovation. Mr. Wong holds a postgraduate degree in Medical Science from the University of Auckland and has held positions at Procare Health and Auckland DHB.

He also appointed accountant Oliver Young as vice president of finance and strategy and US physician Jason Hwang as global advisor.

Dr. Hwang, who also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, will also act as principal investigator as part of a research initiative launched by the Precans Driven Health (PDH) consortium to automate the recovery of millions of laboratory test results from practice management systems.
