Shares rebounded in the extended trading session on Wednesday after quarterly customer engagement and security software results surpassed Wall Street's estimates. The shares of Verint jumped 10% after a few hours, after a 2% decline from the close of the regular session to $ 47.20. The company posted second-quarter net income of $ 22 million, or 33 cents per share, compared to a loss of $ 6.4 million, or 10 cents a share, over the same period last year. Adjusted earnings was 76 cents per share. Revenues reached $ 306.3 million compared to $ 274.8 million last year. Analysts surveyed by FactSet estimated at 61 cents per share turnover of $ 296.1 million. For the year, Verint estimates earnings at about $ 3.15 per share on revenue of $ 1.22 billion to $ 1.26 billion. Analysts expect a profit of $ 3.12 per share on a turnover of $ 1.23 billion.
