On Tuesday, September 25, Verizon said it was experiencing a disruption of its voice, text, and data services in some southern markets.
Verizon Wireless is experiencing intermittent disruption of voice, text and data services for customers in some southern markets. Our engineers are aware of the problem and are working diligently to solve it.

Some parts of Texas and Florida were hit hard by the blackout, but residents of other states also reported problems. Midwestern states, such as Illinois and Michigan, would also be affected, as well as northeastern states such as New York and Massachusetts.
The blackout is affecting people in Houston, New York, Oklahoma City, Tampa, Atlanta and Washington, DC, according to Downdetector reports.
Verizon says he's currently working to solve the problem.
