ATLANTA (CBS46) –

Vice President Mike Pence was due to travel to Atlanta on Thursday but canceled his visit due to the storm.

The Vice President was to visit Delta's TechOps facility, meet with executives, and make remarks to employees.

Pence was also scheduled to stop at the US Red Cross Supply Center in Atlanta to thank employees and volunteers for their efforts as they prepare for Hurricane Florence.

Demonstration against Brian Kemp's rally

Several groups voicing their opposition to Vice President Mike Pence and his agenda were scheduled to hold a rally on Thursday titled "Pence Don's Brate Your Hate to Georgia".

Georgia Alliance for Social Justice, NARAL Pro-Choice Georgia, Planned Parenthood Southeast Advocates and Resist Trump on Tuesday were the organizers of the rally.

"Mike Pence has stated that he wants to see Roe v. Wade'sent on the ashes of history he is in," said Barbara Ann Luttrell, director of communications and marketing at Planned Parenthood Southeast Advocates. "Well, now we have the opportunity to tell him where he belongs … and it's not there, in a city too busy to hate!"
