Francisco Cervelli was at the plate of the Pirates in a match that the Cubs led 6-4. On a pop-up behind the plate, Anthony Rizzo went on the field and a fan seemed to interfere, which cost the Cubs. Later in the race, Cervelli doubled, barely missing a home circuit. Two strikers later, Starling Marte hit Kevin Kramer (who ran for Cervelli) and Kevin Newman to tie the game at 6-6.

At the time of going to press, the Cubs arrive on the plate at the bottom of the ninth and could repair this damage if they mark a race for the race.

UPDATE: The Cubs won on a loss of Albert Almora in the 10th inning, so it's only a footnote.
