Everson Griffen missed the stunning 27-6 home loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday due to "a personal problem," according to Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer. According to an ABC 5 Eyewitness News report, the personal story was a weird episode Saturday in the Minneapolis team hotel.
According to the report, at one point staff members moved to the back of the office as Griffen paced the lobby.

Griffen would not have been arrested at the scene after apparently "leaving on his own", probably before the police arrived. He was still in the race on Sunday, and the Vikings would treat it as a "personal health problem," according to Tom Pelissero of the NFL:
Griffen would have missed three practices before the match due to a knee injury and was registered as a non-participant in the practice. on the team injury report on Monday, the cause listed as "related to a knee injury or not".
