François-Xavier Demaison, technical director of Volkswagen Motorsport, did not give details on the amount of support, just saying that it's the "size of a park bench" "and that it creates more support than the total weight of the car.
Electric vehicles are particularly suitable for hillclimbs because they do not lose power at altitude like a conventional combustion engine. They can also be adapted to the rally crossing, according to the VW factory driver, Tanner Foust.

The I.D R is considered as the ambassador of the future range of electric vehicles of Volkswagen. the I.D Crozz will come on the market in 2020 as an electric cross while the über-cute microbus I.D. Bourdonner and I.D. Vizzion sedan come to fruition in 2022.
