ENGLEWOOD, Colorado – Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller called the team's Halloween party earlier this week a "private" and "safe" meeting, separate from the former overthrown quarterback's arrest Chad Kelly.
Kelly attended the party and was arrested later on Tuesday on suspicion of first degree criminal intrusion. The Broncos gave up Kelly on Wednesday morning.
The evening, whose photos were published on the social networking accounts of several players this week, had become a hot topic in recent days. Miller organized the party, which was an annual affair for the players.
Miller said there were Broncos security personnel on hand for the party, as well as additional security personnel that Miller hired for the event. Miller also announced the presence of professional Denver Outlaws, Denver Nuggets and NBA Sacramento Kings.

Kelly was arrested after a couple declared that he had gone home uninvited and that he was "muttering incoherently," according to an affidavit of determining the probable cause.
According to the affidavit, a man and a woman told the police that a stranger had entered their home in Englewood, Colorado, after 1am. The intruder sat on the couch next to the woman who was holding the young child of the couple, according to the records. .
The man shouted at the intruder to go out and hit him on the back with a vacuum tube. The police surveillance video showed a man entering the front door wearing dark trousers, a white long-sleeved shirt with a brown waistcoat and a red scarf.
Police said they found Kelly sitting in a black SUV parked a block away from the couple's home after the man chased Kelly out of the house. Kelly matched the couple's description, and the man was later identified as the person who had entered the house, according to court documents.
