Nick Sciba needs to be more careful.
Midway through the first quarter of Saturday, Wake Forest was preparing for a 38-yard pitch that would give them momentum and a quick lead over the 8th place Notre Dame, but he had a small misfire with his kicker.
While the Deamon Deacons' keeper, Dom Maggio, was preparing to snap the ball, he noticed that an important player was missing on the field.
Sciba was still warming up and did not realize his team was ready for him on the field. The first year player was forced to run on the court and try his luck on the court to avoid a late penalty.
Sciba was going to take the kick from the left, killing any chance for a momentum for the Demon Deacons.
Wake Forest would fall to the Fighting Irish 56-27.
