How the death of Jesus (Tom Payne) in the Walking Dead mid-season nine final differ from his death in the Walking Dead comics by Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard? In a nutshell: majorly. In other words: mainly, because Jesus does not die in the comic zombie of Kirkman and Adlard – at least he is not yet dead.

For his part, Payne openly admitted his disinterest in such a story: "I liked that they had a friendship, but I told myself that a new relationship was not necessarily necessary."
With the death of Jesus, a new relationship will certainly never happen in the series – no more than this epic fight between Jesus, Aaron and a key member of Whisperers:
How the television series plans to handle the largest sequence of action of Jesus in Walking Dead The tradition of comics, without Jesus being there to make it progress, remains to be seen. For now, fans will have plenty of time to question the future of the show without Jesus on their heels, as season 9 will not be back until February 2019.
