The president, nicknamed "Oracle of Omaha", put the house on the market for $ 11 million in February 2017. He brought the asking price down to $ 7.9 million in late August in the aim to stimulate interest. Do not feel too bad for him: the businessman paid $ 150,000 for the house in the early 1970s.

The three-story Emerald Bay home extends over 3,500 square feet and includes six bedrooms and a beach view. In Mr. Buffett's modest style, he is adorned with white laminate countertops and gray carpets.
"I am very happy with the couple who bought the house and hope their family will enjoy as much fun as our family did," Buffett said in a statement.
His agent, Bill Dolby of Villa Real Estate, declined to comment on the identity of the buyer.
Mr Buffett had previously told The Wall Street Journal that he was selling because he was not spending time on the property. He bought the house because his first wife, Susan, fell in love with her. since his death in 2004, he has rarely visited her. He also remembers writing annual reports on Berkshire Hathaway during the Christmas holidays and during his visits to Disneyland with his children.
