Was this toilet paper glued to Donald Trump's shoe?

Presidents of the United States: Sometimes they are like us, including getting an embarrassing item, like toilet paper, stuck to the bottom of a shoe.

This is apparently what happened to Donald Trump on Thursday. In a video shot at the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, the 72-year-old president seemed to have a piece of toilet paper stuck to his left shoe.

HuffPost reported that it was not entirely clear whether it was toilet paper, a napkin or just a piece of paper. But he was tied to Trump's shoe as he stepped out of the presidential limousine and climbed the steps of Air Force One. The president seemed totally unaware of his presence.

The paper was dislodged after the president signaled to the crowd and boarded the plane. A member of the president's entourage picked him up.

Not surprisingly, social media rushed to comment on the video, sometimes giving it political symbolism.

"The jokes come from writing themselves," wrote a user.

"How's that for a metaphor?" Writes another

One woman, perhaps referring to the conflicts and controversy that resulted from Trump's appointment of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, wrote, "We are all this toilet paper."

Activist and writer Amy Siskind jokingly referred to the reports of journalist Bob Woodward and the New York Times that White House officials, concerned about Trump's mental stability, would have considered invoking the 25th amendment for the declare unfit to perform his duties.
