Washington State police investigate after the video seems to show to the officer

A Washington State Police Service is investigating a controversial video that surfaced over the weekend that appears to be showing an anti-chili agent and kicking a teenager.

In the video posted on Facebook on Sunday, a group of people are seen fighting while an officer can be heard shouting "get on the ground now" and try to break the fight. We see that the teenager seems to have been sprinkled with pepper and holding his face. He staggers before he appears to have been kicked in the back by the officer.

The incident took place at the Central State State Fair, located about 140 miles southeast of Seattle. The video was posted Sunday.

About 15 people were involved in the fighting and four teenagers were arrested, according to the Yakima Herald newspaper, citing the police.

The Yakima Police Department issued a statement saying that he was aware of the video involving an "officer using force while he was making an arrest last night".

"Maintaining public trust is one of our highest priorities, and in so doing, investigators will collect all the available evidence regarding the use of force review," said Gary Jones, Acting Chief. "Police officers often face difficult situations that require immediate assessment of circumstances to protect the community and themselves."

The department did not provide any additional details regarding the officer in question.

A witness told ABC News that the teenager was a high school student.

Jasmin Hernandez Cervera, who posted the video on Facebook, said at the point of sale that there were no weapons, just children who were fighting each other.

Bill Pickett, a Yakima lawyer who claims to represent the teenager, described the officer's actions as "abusive and unacceptable conduct."

"The family wants justice," Pickett told The Herald. "They need to know that they are being heard, and they need to know that this type of behavior is wrong and they need to know that it is going to stop."

No injuries were reported and people who were sprayed with mace were treated, the newspaper quoted the police as saying.
