Watch: A panicked family calls 9-1-1 about whales in Puget Sound

You do not go Baleen that.

At the end of September, a family sailing in Puget Sound called the police when a trio of whales poked under their boat.

They called the cops.

On the whales.

Darren Lucianna posted a video of her family's meeting on Facebook, where she quickly garnered thousands of views and nearly two dozen actions. But it was only when the Twitter user @_SJPeace_ published the images with captions stating that it had become viral, recording more than 1.5 million views since its download on Monday.

The video begins with the sounds of a seemingly hyperventilating woman when a whale bubbles under the surface of the water. The lower half of the frame captures the inside of the vessel, or 20 oz. Mountain Dew hops into a cup holder next to a bottle of water while a man assures everyone on board that everything is going to be fine.

"He's just watching us," the man told the aquatic visitor.

Shortly after, another panicked voice intervenes.

"Oh my god, it's going under us," the person said. "You guys, guys!"

The man continues to reassure passengers that everything is fine until someone – it sounds like a child's voice – say "we are going to die."

While the panicked passengers continue to postulate that this may well be the end of the Lucianna family, the calm voice is cut again in the video, imploring his fellow sailors to rub shoulders with this wonderful show.

"Look at this, guys," the man said with fear. "You will never see that again."

Alas, panic ends up wowing when a woman announces that she dials 9-1-1.

"I'm in Puget Sound and there are three gray whales right under our boat and I'm afraid we can not tip over, I'm really scared," she says.

It is at this point that the boat engine starts and the boat starts to move away from marine mammals. While voices implore the boat's navigator to "move away faster", the creatures follow for a few moments.

The whales, apparently, had not quite finished with the Lucianna family.

"Honey, do not be scared, it's great," said the calm voice from the front.

But no one has it.

"Stupid whales, they are going to kill us", hears a panicked voice as the boat "rolls" further and further away from the trio.
