Star wars hosted Adam Driver star Saturday Night Live last night and one of the best skits of the evening parodied hit hit video game Fortnite: Battle Royale.
The sketch did not parody the game as much as the big people confused by the game, however. The driver's character, a middle-aged father who wants to learn the game so that he can be better than his son's father-in-law, teams up with a couple of teenagers who he thinks , can show him the ropes.
If you've ever seen someone who does not understand the basic console controls trying to play a shooter, you'll understand the hilarity that follows. Here is the sketch:
This drawing is very well approved by my own children and, if I am honest, reminds me that I am a child and that I watch adults try to play games like Mario Kart with me. Swinging arms, go-karts directly into the walls. Too funny.
In any case, you know that everything has become popular if it is parodied on SNL. This is a sign of honor, generally, unless you are a politician.
(P.S. really East an excellent game to play with your children. My 8 and 11 year olds and I regularly go around. We are not great, but it's always fun.)
