In the 1996 film The first women's clubDiane Keaton, Goldie Hawn and Bette Midler, three middle-aged and divorced women, are developing a plan to avenge their deceitful husbands, who have left them all for a younger woman. In the final scene of the film, Keaton, Hawn and Midler's characters take part in an intimate and impromptu rendition of "You Do not Own Me" while wearing white suits. Fabulous? The first women's club is not just a convenient reference for Grande either. Apparently, it's also his favorite movie. In 2014, she tweeted Cite the movie every day, and you may hear his influence on his new single, "Thank U, Next". What could have been a little kiss for her famous ex, is actually a surprisingly tender song that focuses instead on what Grande has learned from each of her highly publicized relationships.
Given the appropriate tribute of Grande, the time has come for the very late sequel of The first women's club meet. Come on, it's not too hard to imagine him dancing alongside Keaton, Hawn and Midler in what would be a hard-earned buy-out moment in a complete circle.
