Legendary third baseman Mets New Yorker David Wright participated in the professional baseball game of his career on Saturday night.

The Mets icon spent his entire career in New York City for 14 years, posting a .296 batting average and beating 242 home runs. He was also chosen to represent the United States at the World Baseball Classic on two separate occasions where he was nicknamed "Captain America".
Wright played a few innings in Saturday's game, enjoying thunderous applause and a memorable reminder.
