Brie Larson officially exploded in the film world of Marvel.

The 28-year-old star Captain Marvel joined forces with Hello America Tuesday morning for the first trailer of the highly anticipated film. From the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC, Larson pressed the button that gave fans their first glimpse of the new addition to the superhero universe.

The trailer begins with the heroine who crashes into the ceiling of a Blockbuster store, confused about her fate.

"So you do not come from here?" Asks the character of Samuel L. Jackson.

She responds: "It's hard to explain."

But the memories of Larson's character are not long in coming back.

"I keep having those memories," says Larson's character as a pilot. "I see flashes. I think I had a life here, but I can not say if it's real.

When Captain Marvel will be released in theaters March 8, 2019, this will be the 21st entry in the MCU – and the first to be the star of a super-solo woman. Over the last decade, the MCU has brought together a diverse range of women, from witches and warriors to widows and wasps. But never before had a woman written her own story – up to Captain Marvel, the half-way pilot who made his cartoon debut in 1968.

"She can not help but be herself," Larson said recently. Weekly entertainment, for which she honored the cover of character. "She can be aggressive and can have a temperament and she can be a bit overwhelming and on your face. She is also quick to jump to things, which makes her unbelievable in battle because she is the first to go out and does not always wait for orders. But the [not] waiting for orders is for some a character defect.
