Foo Fighters, Halsey, N.E.R.D., Stone Temple Pilots and Imagine Dragons were among the artists scheduled for this weekend's San Diego Kaaboo Festival, with each of the actors performing on the main Rolling Stone Sunset Cliffs stage.
As Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters noted, his band's appearance at the festival's Del Mar Fairgrounds marked the first time in 27 years that he had been performing on stage. He played for the last time at Del Mar Fairgrounds in December 1991 as a member of Nirvana on a shared bill with fellow Pearl Jam and the Red Hot Chili Peppers poster head. San Diego Union Tribune reports.
The Kaaboo ensemble from Foo Fighters featured a mix of highlights from almost every album in the band, as well as their clever blend of Van Halen's "Jump" and John Lennon's "Imagine", which became a standard on their tour. Gold.
Kaaboo ends Sunday with artists like TLC, Slash with Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, Wiz Khalifa and Katy Perry on the Rolling Stone Sunset Cliffs stage.
