Things got really fast between LaMelo Ball and Lithuanian player Mindaugas Susinskas!

The JBA, or Junior Basketball Association, is the brand new basketball league of LaVar Ball that showcases young talents seeking to make themselves known outside the college ecosystem. His two sons, LaMelo and LiAngelo, play for the league as well as for their national team called JBA USA who played in Lithuania on Monday.

But the game went from a typical show to a fight at the beginning of the third quarter. While the young LaMelo missed a layup in the key, he seemed to have pushed Mindaugas Susinskas on his way. We do not know if he did it intentionally or not to avoid falling. According to JBA advertisers, Ball was calling the official for a phone call because Susinskas had slapped Ball in the back of the head. Ball fought back with a slap in her face, and it was at this point that the two men started to fight. Both teams rushed to separate the two players.

As a result, Susinskas and Ball were expelled from the match. And while the JBA USA team was 15 points ahead in the fight, it lost 124-116 to LKL's Alytaus Dzukija. Susinskas had 3 points in the match while Ball finished with 15, so the ejections proved costly for the JBA team.

The fight between the two could have been brewed throughout the game. For example, earlier in the third quarter, Susinskas stole the ball at LaMelo, knocking him down. But Ball got up quickly enough so that a back block could be aggressive enough to consider a retaliatory move. Susinskas looked at the officials as he asked for a call, then consulted his teammates. There was no appeal but the frustration of this game seemed palpable on both sides.

It is not known yet if either player will face more discipline as a result of the fight.
