After the fight, chaos aside, the fact is that Khabib Nurmagomedov completely decimated Conor McGregor to keep the Lightweight Championship via fourth round submission Saturday at UFC 229. In fact, it's almost as if Nurmagomedov could have ended the Irish earlier than the fourth round if he wished, but he chose to make the former title holder, the heavyweight, suffer for sad comments against his family and country of Russia.

It seems, however, that while Nurmagomedov was physically beating McGregor en route to victory, he was also ready to be punished verbally. The microphones were inside the Octagon and Nurmagomedov was sending messages to McGregor while he was delivering one of the worst beatings ever received by McGregor.
"Let's talk now, let's talk about it," Nurmagomedov said, hitting McGregor on the floor.
McGregor then tried to explain to the champion at the end of the third round that all personal shots before the fight were nothing but business. Nurmagomedov, who took every word that came out of McGregor's mouth personally before the confrontation, had none of these excuses. He paused as he walked to his corner to repeat to McGregor, "Hey, let's talk about it."
In the end, McGregor felt much more than physical pain during Saturday's unbalanced defeat. Nurmagomedov also decided to give him a dose of his medicine.
