Watch: Seahawks lose their chance to come back against shippers

David Moore lay in the end of the end zone, incredulous.

The former seventh-round pick has enjoyed a favorable period in recent weeks, returning to the end zone four times in the last three games, after a 25-17 defeat on Sunday against the Chargers. On the last game of the game, Moore seemed destined to continue his momentum, but that was not supposed to be.

The Seahawks had found their way back to Los Angeles, which at one point in the third quarter was leading by 12. At 1:50, Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson hit forward Nick Vannett on a six-yard touchdown to allow the Seahawks score eight points. After forcing a Chargers kickoff, Seattle took over at 22 with 1:33 left.

It took only five games before the Seahawks entered the 30-meter line.

Facing the Fourth of the Chargers with four seconds and five seconds, Wilson threw an incomplete pass to Tyler Lockett, who made a defensive pass interference. He established Seattle with a possession on the Chargers' one meter line and a non-scoring goal. A false start brought the ball back to six.

Wilson, avoiding pressure in the pocket, placed himself to his right and slapped Moore in the chest, but the ball bounced off the second-year wide-out hands and fell incomplete, canceling the Seahawks' attempt to return.

The result brought Seattle to 4-4 with a visit to Los Angeles to face the Rams.
