(WXYZ) – Two people were shot and wounded during a shootout involving Michigan State Police soldiers.
The I-96 road heading west on Farmington Road in Livonia is closed due to police investigation.
Police said the first shot was fired at a FedEx facility on Amrhein Road in Livonia shortly after Monday at 3am.
Livonia police officers who responded to the investigation saw a suspicious vehicle fleeing the scene and pursued it. The high speed chase was heading east on I-96, turned around and headed west. The prosecution ended around 3:40 am in the vicinity of WB I-96 and Levan.
An MSP soldier shot at the suspect who was still in the suspect's vehicle. Police said that the original victim was also in the suspect's vehicle.
