After Monday night's barn burn, the league has only fancy points for the rest of the season.
Joking here, but the Rams' 54-51 on the Chiefs reminds us of how badly fantasy managers are going to miss all Rams and Chiefs top players in a critical Week 12.
Do not worry, if this last week brings together some of the best producers of fantasy football, it also restores some defensive pats.
BEGINNING
Marlon Mack, RB, Colts vs. Dolphins
From a fantastic point of view, Lamar Miller and Aaron Jones had their best games against the Dolphins. Kerryon Johnson had his second best game against them. It's now Mack's turn. Miami lost the fourth highest number of points to the position (NFL.com format).
Nick Chubb, RB, Browns at Bengals
Did not the Bengals have a good defense at one point, or was it a mirage? Since week 6, Cincy's has had at least one touchdown in every game, including one with Peyton Barber and one named appraiser Gus Edwards. Chubb is a must.
Julian Edelman, WR, Patriots at Jets
Rob Gronkowski could come back for this one, which can only help to hide a cover from Edelman, one of Tom Brady's most trusted receivers. The Jets are the sixths easier to imagine for the receivers.
Mitch Trubisky, QB, Bears at Lions
Trubisky recorded his second-best-of-the-season fantastic result (36 points) against the Lions in Week 10. Expect a regression with a second road meet a short week – not to mention his injury to the # Shoulder – but from his dynamic attack and his rush production gives him a high cap against a unit that has allowed three passes four times this season. The Trubisky shoulder injury should be monitored to see if it improves or worsens at the time of the match. If he's not playing, Andrew Luck (vs. Dolphins), Nick Mullens (at Buccaneers) and Matt Ryan (at Saints) are good options.
Tre'Quan Smith, WR, Saints vs Falcons
Michael Thomas is obvious and will attract a lot of attention, and rightly so. The Falcons defense has been a little stiff since their injuries made it a filter earlier this season, which is to Smith's advantage. Forcing Drew Brees to dismiss the ball will give Smith a good opportunity to boost his 157-yard performance in one touchdown against the Eagles.
George Kittle, TE, 49ers at Buccaneers
The calculation is simple: the fourth round most prolific against the second worst defense against the position is equivalent to a must.
Mason Crosby, K, Packers at Vikings
This game has implications in series, which can favor the kicker in this case. The Vikings have allocated the third highest number of points to the position.
Jaguars defense at Bills
You never know which team of Bills you are going to get – good or bad – but try your luck with an arrogant Jacksonville unit against an opponent who has allocated at least 20 fantasy points to D / ST four times, so shy point of 39, a fifth time.
SIT
Blaine Gabbert, QB, Titans at Texans
If Marcus Mariota (stinger) can not go, Gabbert will face a defense that will keep him at 8.88 fancy points (Yahoo format) in the second week. And if Mariota plays, avoid it too.
LeGarrette Blount, RB, Lions vs. Bears
The Bears' defense has passed another test by pounding Dalvin Cook of the Vikings. Lions have no chance if Kerryon Johnson can not … continue. Over the last four games of Blount, he averaged three quarters of a meter. You read correctly: 0.76 meters per race. I would not even count on him to score bulldozed goals, the Bears are also very good at stopping them.
Adrian Peterson, RB, Redskins at Cowboys
Peterson still threatens to score close, but it's very risky here. With Colt McCoy making his first start of the season, the Cowboys – the 10th hardest player in fantasy – will be the main favorites, and the Redskins could play catch-up mode most of the game.
Dede Westbrook, WR, Jaguars at Bills
Despite 14 goals in the last two games, Westbrook scored just 6.2 fancy points in standard markings. Blake Bortles shares some of the responsibility for that. Since week 2, bills have virtually closed everything except the elite recipients.
Demaryius Thomas, WR, Texans vs. Titans
Deshaun Watson has often been considered an offensive threat this season, and Thomas has not been involved since his trade since Denver. Coach Bill O'Brien said via Chron.com: "I think he did good things. … I think we have to work to make him more involved in the offense, without a doubt. Titans are not the defense to solve problems.
Ricky Seals-Jones, TE, Cardinals at Chargers
Some fantasy leaders are waiting patiently for Seals-Jones to fully exploit its potential, but that should not happen this week either. Chargers are No. 1 in defense of tight ends.
Matt Bryant, K, Falcons to Saints
A glance at how the Saints have dismantled the Eagles in the Superdome is enough to scare Bryant. New Orleans could easily increase the score and force the Falcons to make touchdowns and 2-point conversions. New Orleans is the third most stingy kicker
Defense of the Jets against the Patriots
The Jets have been a sneaky game for most of the season, but in the last seven games, New England have blanked out the fantastic defenses three times and awarded more than three points only once.
SLEEPERS
Kirk Cousins, QB, Vikings against the Packers
Everyone is ready to bury Cousins after a mediocre consecutive performance against the Lions and Bears, but Cousins still managed to produce nearly 19 points (Yahoo format) in Chicago. The Viking quarterback battling a fierce attack will be aggressive against a defense that he burned for four touchdowns in the second week. Side note: I like Carson Wentz against the Giants for similar reasons.
Austin Ekeler, RB, Chargers vs. Cardinals
The Chargers learned a painful lesson that defeated the Broncos in a defeat. There is too much competition in the division and in the AFC, so expect the shippers to shoot all their weapons, including Ekeler. He should also benefit if L.A complete the score and beat the clock against the fourth defense of the worst race in Arizona.
Elijah McGuire, RB, Jets vs. Patriots
The status of Sam Darnold (foot) is uncertain, but whoever throws a pass in this match will probably be looking for McGuire, who has taken on the role of Bilal Powell. The Jets have just left the week and generally increase their play for the Patriots, who are tied for eighth place in number of receptions in the points race with a score of 6.1.
Devin Funchess, WR, Panthers vs. Seahawks
The Seahawks have flown around the middle in terms of defensive efficiency against the WR1s, and they rank 11th in terms of fantasy points compared to other receivers. Funchess dropped a few passes, including what would have been a touchdown, during his return visit to Detroit, his hometown. Sometimes, when a player is struggling, this can bring a heightened amount of attention to the next game. "I'm going to take responsibility for myself, most definitely," Funchess said via the team's website. "I have to do more for the team."
Courtland Sutton, WR, Broncos vs. Steelers
Pittsburgh is not the opponent of choice for wide receivers he was in the first half of the season, but they are more vulnerable to WR2 defense. Sutton is gaining confidence since the departure of Demaryius Thomas.
Mark Andrews, TE, Ravens vs. Raiders
Let's really go to sleep on this event, because it's a very popular position this season, especially in 12- and 14-team leagues. The Raiders are the weakest defenseman against tight ends, and Andrews has surprisingly more yards and touchdowns (two) than any other tight end of Baltimore. The rookie could be one of those random touch markers that are always so hard to predict.
Aldrick Rosas, K, Eagles Giants
Philadelphia has had the most points against kickers in the last four weeks. And you have to like his chances in a tight division game on the road.
The 49ers' defense against buccaneers
The 49ers are underrated as a defense and could take advantage of a Bucs team led by Jameis Winston, a spin-oriented player, as well as seven games in which the opposing defense scored fantastic points to two figures.
