There were gifts for the first day of spring and even more presents and business for the first day of the summer.

On Saturday, there is a small group of bargains to welcome in the fall.

And one of the best comes from Wendy's. Over the last two weeks, the fast food chain has given free cheeseburgers every day for customers who present a coupon on their mobile application.

While the sale of hamburgers continues until September 30, beginning on the first day of fall and until October 7, Wendy's also offers free salads.

With Wendy's mobile app and any other purchase, get a half-size Harvest chicken salad. The application is available for Apple and Android devices.

The new salad is the first autumn salad of the chain and includes apples, brown sugar nuts, feta cheese, smoked bacon, chicken breast with fully grilled white meat and cider vinaigrette .

Unlike the free burger promotion, there is a limit of half a free salad per mobile account. The fine print of Wendy's coupon also states "Limit one offer per customer per visit".

For a limited time, Wendy's also sells small Frosty treats for 50 cents.

More offers for the first day of autumn

Take advantage of these offers at participating locations on September 22, subject to availability. Offers vary by location.

Bruegger's Bagels: The chain begins its Agreement on National Coffee Day on the first day of autumn. Members of Bruegger's Inner Circle Rewards program can get free coffee. Register on www.brueggers.com.

Edible Arrangements: Get a gift for 99 cents on Saturdays at participating locations. The treats vary and some places will have smoothies and frozen yogurts while others will offer fruit cups. Check with your nearest store for more information.

Godiva: National Ice Cream Cones Day also falls on the first day of autumn. Until Saturday, buy a sweet service cone, get the second half price. The cuts and the perfect are excluded.

Halo Top: All parties, these frozen gifts had disappeared in less than 40 minutes. Starting at 12:01 pm ET, go to www.halotop.com/new to sign up and print a coupon for a free pint of ice cream. The coupon is only redeemable on September 22 and is available until stocks run out. Residents of California, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Nevada, Tennessee and Wisconsin are not able to receive a pint of free ice cream but can redeem their vouchers for dairy-free and vegan pints.

Museum Day: Sign up for a Museum Day ticket to get free admission to participating museums and cultural institutions across the country. The Smithsonian hosts the annual event and a ticket to Museum Day offers free entry for two people on September 22nd. Learn more and register at www.smithsonianmag.com/museumday.
