The President of The Gambia, Adama Barrow, joined the couple on the occasion of the event, which brought together a crowd of sympathizers.
This comes after the couple received a warm welcome as they landed in The Gambia on Wednesday.
This trip is the couple's first official visit to the country, which joined the Commonwealth this year.
The couple will then travel to Ghana on November 2nd and to Nigeria on November 6th for their royal tour.

Camilla planted a tree during a visit to Saint Teresa School in Banjul.
The First Lady of Gambia, Fatou Bah-Barrow, joins the Duchess for the engagement.
Camilla was photographed holding a shovel while she was standing in front of the newly planted tree.
Charles's wife also met school students who seemed excited to talk to the Duchess and offer her presents.

Charles visited the Armed Forces Training School in Banjul.
