Jets and quarterback Sam Darnold beat the Lions in Detroit 1-0 on Monday night. So, can the Jets and Darnold continue their strong Sunday game at home against the Dolphins? Let's take a look at some of the issues that could cause problems for Darnold in this game.

Darnold played well in Detroit, aside from a choice of six in the very first game of the game.
Turnover
Darnold, as you may have heard, made a bad start at the beginning, with this choice of six. But he rebounded to his credit. If he can play a game without a number of business against the Dolphins, it will help the Jets. Otherwise, it could be a long day for Darnold and the Jets against the Dolphins, who managed Marcus Mariota and the Titans well last week. Darnold knows that he can not afford to make mistakes like this one in every game.
Dolphins limiting his own mistakes
One of the reasons the Jets defeated the Lions 48-17 was that the Lions could not get out of their own way on Monday night. A ton of forced mistakes and stupid mistakes. Jets can not bet on each opponent playing badly. It's just unrealistic. So Darnold probably will not get as much help from the opposition this week.
Less leeway compared to defensive teams with special help
In line with the Lions' mistakes, the Jets earned five assists in Detroit and scored a defensive touch. It is unrealistic to expect that any of these things will happen every week. The Jets also had a kick return touchdown and another long punt return that set up a short landing run. Darnold is not going to get that kind of help and leeway every week from his defensemen and his special teams, not to mention his opponent's help with terrible mistakes, as the Lions did . The room for maneuver like this is hard to find in the NFL.
