The cultural divide of the country, as reflected in Tuesday's elections, is real.

However, some things are part of the American experience, whether you're going through Manhattan or driving a 4×4 in Montana.

We analyzed 11 touchstones of American life and their frequency in the districts that voted Republican and Democrat in this week's elections. Democrats won the largest number of districts in the House on Tuesday. We have therefore selected below the most frequented places in the democratic districts and those located in districts that voted for the Republicans.
