2018 Veterans Day is unique for two reasons.

First and foremost, it marks 100 years since the end of the First World War; second, it falls on a Sunday, which means that it is observed on Sunday and Monday.

This makes it a bit difficult to know which stores and services will be closed over the next two days, but here's a quick guide to what's available and what's not in Minnesota.

Government Offices: Most federal, state and local offices will be closed on Monday, including US Postal Service buildings and US courts.

Thank you for watching!

banks: Wells Fargo and US Bank are among the major banks that remained closed on Monday; However, the TCF Bank will have regular hours on weekdays.

Alcohol shops: Since Minnesota liquor stores can legally operate on Sundays, it's up to them to decide whether they stay open or not, and the same goes for Monday. Call in advance or check online before leaving.

Shopping centers and stores: Virtually all shopping malls and stores will be open on Sundays and Mondays, and many of them (including Mall of America) offer special offers, promotions and events.

Thank you for watching!
