Auburn’s disappointing season took another turn Saturday in the form of a 27-10 loss to fifth-ranked Georgia in the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry.

It was a familiar story for Auburn, which has now lost six straight at Sanford Stadium and continues to struggle after the first quarter Between the Hedges, while the Tigers’ defense experienced another letdown. The loss dropped Auburn to 6-4 on the year and 3-4 in SEC play, with games against Liberty at home and Alabama on the road remaining on the schedule before the postseason.
