The poll, conducted last Friday and Saturday by the Cygnal study and polls, led Braun to Democrat Donnelly (49% vs. 46%), with 2% undecided and the rest, with the support of a candidate third party. Libertarian Lucy Brenton is a candidate for the position but she was not named in the survey.

Cygnal said that the interest in the race of the Senate is classified as "intense". The survey firm said 71% of respondents said their interest in the Senate race was nine to ten.

In a statement to WTHR, Cygnal said the GOP had a chance to claim Donnelly's seat.
