Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is one of the dedicated traditions of Thanksgiving Day for many people. From Rockettes to Broadway Musical artists, this year's parade will certainly offer something to watch.
While some acts are still in the parade year by year, others are changing. Regular members of the formation will be present, including the huge balloons that float in the streets of Manhattan every November.
Interpreters suspended on floating floats, interspersed with fanfares from across the country and balloons, are waiting to sing in front of the cameras since the parade.
The list of all the balloons, clowns, fanfares, performers, tanks and more is available on Macy's website with the list of tanks on which the performers will play. The parade has been a tradition since 1924 and has since expanded to include more than 8,000 participants.
The parade will be broadcast live on television, from 9 am until noon. The parade begins in the upscale neighborhoods of West 77th Street and Central Park West. The complete itinerary, including a map showing where you can use the restrooms, have coffee or food, is available on the Macy's website.
The other stars of the parade, the massive balloons, were inflated Wednesday downtown at the American Museum of Natural History, where balloons are exploded each year. The balloons were inflated between 13h and 13h. and 8 pm EST Wednesday, during which time visitors could go see them getting ready for the big day on Thursday.
The musical guests of the parade vary from year to year and the types of musical performers are usually quite varied, so as to cover a variety of age groups and types of music for the viewers. The performers began to rehearse outside of Macy's Tuesday night to be ready on Thursday.
