Law, Mar-Vell.

Many Marvel Cinematic Universe fans will read this and immediately answer the question: what is Starforce? EW revealed a first look at the team Captain Marvel, Read below the detail of the story of Starforce in Marvel Comics and its potential importance in the MCU!

Captain Marvel Starforce

Launched in 1992, Starforce was actually considered a team of villains – a collection of elite Kree warriors brought together by Supreme Intelligence. The original team has two very distinct members who are particularly relevant to Captain Marvel movie: Ronan, the accuser and Korath the hunter. As you can see in the photo above, the MCU versions of Ronan and Korath played by Guardians of the Galaxy Stars Lee Pace and Djimon Hounsou will be part of Starforce Captain Marvel, fighting alongside Carol Danvers of Larson, years before breaking into their own extremist religious sect of the Kree Empire.

Also mentioned in the caption of the photo is that Rich Asian boobies Star Gemma Chan plays the MCU version of Dr. Minerva, a high-level warrior and Kree geneticist. Other characters from the Starforce MCU have not yet been named – but a key figure, perhaps the man at the back with long hair and beard (actor Robert Kazinski) , which looks like an adaptation of Ultimus, the last of the Kree / Eternal hybrids.

As for Jude Law: we expect him to play the classic character of Marvel, Mar-Vell, the original Captain Marvel, but there is also another possible scenario. Starforce was led by Captain Atlas, an elite Kree warrior, who could be either Law's MCU character, if it's a composite of Mar-Vell and Atlas.

Starforce is described as "SEAL Team 6 in Space", but what is most interesting is that in comics, the team is considered a villain. Carol Danvers' presence on the team initially suggests that MCU Starforce is a band of heroes, but there is some evidence to suggest that Carol might realize that her team and her role in the universe are not not as heroic as she imagines at first. The film could indeed present the Kree / Skrull war as a conflict that has corrupted both sides, which would be a powerful rumination about the nature of the war.
