This research finally sends Vanellope to Oh My Disney, a real website dedicated to all things Disney. The site is full of lists, clips and quizzes about Disney's popular properties – and this apparently includes The girls of the gold.
Rich Moore and Phil Johnston, co-directors of Ralph, told Yahoo Entertainment that they were surprised to find that the Disney site was filled with Daddy's Girls content. A quick search on the website and one can find dozens of Daddy's Girls articles, including the one entitled "Gifs literally just for girls". The reason why the award-winning sitcom on four sassy women living together appears so often on the site is that the characters are technically owned by Disney. This gave the co-directors the idea of including them in the film.
So, Blanche, Rose, Dorothy and Sophia were thrown into the animated film, but they were removed because if you do not know Oh My Disney or the internet obsession of the show, you probably will not understand not why The girls are here. It was too confusing, so the foursome was cut from the film in favor of camcorders easier to grasp, like Buzz Lightyear or Stormtroopers.
Well, maybe cutting The Golden Girls is a tough step for those who like the sitcom, but there are many other things to love Ralph breaks the Internet. The result is receiving positive criticism from critics and is doing well at the box office with a projection of $ 84 million over five days. The sequel is supposed to be a fun idea of what the Internet looks like with a lot of services for Disney fans, for good measure.
