With a Brooklyn Nets takeover finalized, Dwight Howard must sign with the Washington Wizards.
Dwight Howard was looking for a new team soon, once a redemption with the Brooklyn Nets was officially accepted. The Washington Wizards have a gap to fill in the middle after exchanging Marcin Gortat against the Clippers. According to Jared Weiss of The Athletic, Howard will sign with the Wizards when he crosses waivers and the league's moratorium on trades ends Friday.
Howard was traded from the Charlotte Hornets to the Nets last month, for Timofey Mozgov, two choices and cash. The Nets would never keep it, so there was talk of an immediate buyout to free Howard on the open market.
Howard is clearly no longer at its peak, and he has never developed a complete offensive game beyond the dunks and rabbits at the rim. As the big NBA men have extended their games to the three-point line, the eight-time All-Star has fallen behind (17 attempts beyond the bow over the past four seasons) . There is something to say to know your strengths because Howard only had 1 for 7 on a three-point gap last year, but it's about as old as the old-fashioned school among the centers of the NBA.
