Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly show that the genius detectives are not always brilliant in the trailer of Holmes and Watson.

The boys are back in town.

Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly gathered in "Holmes and Watson" and the comic duo are still as happy as they are stupid.

The comedy trailer was dropped on Friday, giving a new twist to the famous genius detective Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick, Dr. John Watson, showing them like fools.

Look away from Benedict Cumberbatch, look away.

In the trailer, Holmes (Ferrell) unleashes a colony of deadly bees from a protective showcase with a perfectly calculated cricket shot, before Watson (Reilly) opens the pistol on the tiny, swarming creatures.

This is just a look at the chaos as the two men try to break a mystery in four days before their beloved (a little too beloved) Queen Victoria is killed.

A little bit of true genius – the duo seems to have invented the first selfie on a tripod camera in order to remember his personal moment of Queen Victoria.

We have already witnessed such outrageous antics from the stars of the 2006 Talladega Nights: The Ricky Bobby Ballad and the 2008 Step Brothers.

The trailer for "Holmes and Watson" also shows a must-have, Ralph Fiennes, as a law professor and professor James Moriarty, and Rebecca Hall, as Dr. Grace Hart – a female doctor who confuses the chauvinist duo.

"Holmes and Watson" will be published on December 21st.
