What has apparently started as a joke has become a really ambitious project as his company literally digs tunnels under the city. The goal is to create a network of tunnels acting as high speed direct connections between multiple sites. So what does this have to do with our homes and more specifically, The Boring Company boring in the garage? Earlier this year, The Boring Company purchased a $ 485,000 property in a neighborhood near SpaceX headquarters. The goal is to build a "junction" off its test tunnel leading to a 45-foot elevator leading to the property.
The permit contains provisions that do not allow The Boring Company to be too disruptive for current residents. Among other restrictions, this includes an eight foot brick fence surrounding the property and featuring an enclosed area where the well leads.
Some people wonder if The Boring Company plans to cross neighborhoods and garages in the near future. is this the future of transport?
