Wilmer Valderrama rushed to ex-girlfriend Demi Lovato's side in July after suffering an overdose. The actor continues to support the singer while she seeks treatment.
According to TMZ, 38-year-old Valderrama has made several trips to the east coast of the east coast in recent weeks. The outlet reports that the former couple also attended a local cafe.
Earlier this week, Lovato's mother, Dianna De La Garza, assured fans that her 26-year-old daughter "is doing very well" and continues to work on her health.

"She's happy … she's working on her sobriety and she's getting the help she needs," De La Garza told NewsMax TV. "That in itself encourages me for its future and for the future of our family."
A source close to Lovato also tells people that she "focuses on her health and recovery."

The former child's star has been suffering from substance abuse, mental illness and eating disorders for years. In 2010, Lovato went into treatment, where she sought help for bipolar disorder, bulimia, self-harm and addiction. She relapsed after leaving the treatment center, then entered a sober living center for one year.
Lovato revealed that she had celebrated six years of sobriety in March. But three months later, she mentioned a recent relapse when she released her new autobiographical single "Sober" on June 21st.

At the end of August, a month after his overdose, a source told PEOPLE that Lovato was "doing well", adding, "It's a long road".
During Lovato's hospitalization, many sources told PEOPLE Valderrama that she spent hours every day at her side.
"He saw it through so many ups and downs and was his rock through some of his darkest moments. To see her in such a sad and vulnerable place is sad for him, "said a friend of the exes. "Half always hoped that they would meet together in the future. He loves his life and vice versa.
