Winter weather conditions will have an impact on the central and
South Iowa Saturday night to Sunday. Expect the highest
total snow 4 to 8 inches to the south and southeast
Iowa, with lighter quantities further north, to US Highway 30.
There remains uncertainty about the exact trajectory and strength of the
storm, further adjustments of the forecast are possible.
In addition, strong north winds of 20 to 40 mph will produce
areas of blowing and drifting snow, resulting in poor visibility
and near blizzard conditions sometimes. Traveling is strongly
discouraged from Saturday night to Sunday.
